The smartphone has long since become a universal tool for journalists. Meanwhile, complete contributions are filmed, edited and finally put online. In this post I list the best apps for the Iphone and Android. It includes apps for recording videos, editing and publishing your movies, recording audio interviews, taking photos and editing your photos, sharing data between your iPhone and other devices, and streaming live.
Some apps for editing 360-degree videos and photos are completely new in the list, so that the detour via the computer is no longer necessary. My colleague Berhard Lill has published a similar list for Android. With his kind permission I also show them here. We created the lists with Thinglink, an online tool, which is also available as an app for Android and iPhones (you can find the corresponding link on the picture).
